With over 20 years’ experience working in some of the UK’s and Australia’s top kitchens, Mike Reid is an international restaurateur and the Culinary Director of Rare Restaurants - the boutique hospitality group encompassing Gaucho, the renowned modern Argentinian steak restaurants, and the ground-breaking gastronomic playgrounds known as M Restaurants.
Mike’s TV Work
He is a familiar face on TV having appeared in in many popular British and Australian cooking TV shows such as Great British Menu, Master Chef, Ready Steady Cook, My Market Kitchen and Cooking with the Stars.
He is currently starring as a judge on Netflix & Channel 4 show Five Star Chef.
Mike is also best known for his many live TV appearances on a huge range of shows, such as This Morning, Sunday Brunch and Steph’s Packed Lunch.

Mike has amassed a vast amount of experience over the last two decades in the hospitality industry, from running restaurant groups with an annual turnover of 54 million per year, to Michelin independent restaurants.
He has opened 19 new restaurants in the UK, Australia, Dubai, Beirut and Amsterdam. Mike has worked on large scale events, with hotels, private members clubs, product developers, supermarkets and airlines.
